Gaylo (Halo Discussions)

Post by LordSkorne7 »

Since I'm a big Halo shill, and on the Internet Archive the original DQ Forum had a big Halo topic: Rezzing it here.

My absolute favorite Halo game is Halo Reach, followed swiftly behind with Halo 3.

Halos 1 and 2 are near and dear; but I got into them a little later and so didn't have the same kind of massive reverence a lot of my fellows did.

Reach - a most Respectable Choice, and tied for second place (alongside Halo CE) on my tier-list.

My personal favorite is ODST because it feels different.
A) You tone-wise aren't a Super-Soldier.
B) There's distinct theming in it that feels almost Bioshock and almost Noir - arriving to the scene after the fact and having to piece together what happened after the dust has settled.

Mostly thanks to forge mode and infection games, I probably spent the most time playing Halo 3 though I don't think I have a favorite.

Been binging the audiobooks at work this year, they can be a bit hit or miss but I like the bleaker side of the setting that you don't really see outside of Halo Reach and the Halo Wars intro.
